The intention was to create the interiors of the new office premises
of the law firm Krogerus so that they, along with the exterior, would be of as high quality as possible. The modern design premises of the office were created in collaboration with designers and the personnel.
“We can only be satisfied when we look at the outcome. Even if our excellent office building contains public meeting and conference premises, our clients and we personnel have still wanted to gather most of all in our own premises,” says Olli Sotka, Head of Marketing.
“Our initial wish was to make our office as comfortable as possible but at the same time also efficient and stylish. During the move, the interior design played a leading role already from the outset. In collaboration with Yatta, who specialises in architecture and interior design, we planned an entity that works perfectly.”
Olli Sotka emphasises that quality was the most important criterion, but at the same time, everything had to be functional and versatile. For example, top Dutch and Italian office furniture manufacturers were selected without forgetting domestic suppliers: the textiles of Vallila Interiors, for instance, create a pleasant atmosphere in the premises, in which people work with demanding tasks that require patience and concentration. “We also believe in Finnish manufacturers, and Finnish carpenters have played a clear role in the process,” Sotka says.
Done and decided in collaboration
The law firm’s own transition project group played a leading role in the interior design. According to Olli Sotka, the experts at Yatta, on the other hand, searched for alternatives for the various premises and needs. The project group made the final decisions. The solutions have been a success and none of the decisions have been altered afterwards.
“Probably the best indicator of our success is the larger than expected usage of the premises. They can be adjusted to fit different needs, for we need small conference rooms for two to three people as well as sufficient room for larger groups of people. At our best, we have had meetings for a total of 150 people at the same time without it snitching anything away from the comfort and pleasantness of the premises,” says Olli Sotka.
Room for growth
The experts at Sponda and Krogerus have together taken care of both the physical and IT safety of the premises.
“Together we have created the premises for our office for years to come because we have also taken growth possibilities into account.”
Sotka emphasises that as they modified the premises, Sponda as the owner turned out to be an excellent, competent and flexible partner.
