Hämeenkatu 13 ATampere city center
The façade of the old post office building designed by Selim Savonius represents the most typical 1920s office architecture. It was the first post office building built by the State in Tampere. The building was inaugurated for its purposes at the end of 1927.
Today, the fully modernised building houses a restaurant and offices.
This historic building has significant cultural value and is an important part of the cityscape, and it has an excellent location in the heart of Tampere, at the corner of Hämeenkatu and Pellavatehtaankatu. In 1993, the building was fully renovated to meet modern standards. It has four floors above the ground and a basement. There is a popular restaurant, a modern auditorium/conference room and a parking garage on the basement level.
