2013

  • Sponda sold two office buildings in St Petersburg
  • The development project of the Ruoholahden Ankkuri office building and the multi-year renovation of the Citycenter shopping centre were completed.
  • The Board of Directors of the property investment company Sponda Plc confirmed the company's new strategy
  • Sponda to develop office building complex for Sweco in Ilmala, Helsinki

2014

  • Sponda to sell 12 logistics properties and its shares in real estate funds to a new logistics and industrial property investment company
  • Sponda Plc purchases an office property in central Tampere

2015

  • Sponda to develop Tampere's largest shopping centre
  • Sponda sold shopping centre and office building in Moscow
  • Sponda to sell its 38% stake in Certeum
  • Estradi, an office building built by Sponda in Northern Haaga, was completed
  • An office complex built by Sponda for Sweco in Ilmala was completed

2016

  • Sponda purchases six prime properties in the Forum block including the Forum shopping centre and office premises
  • Sponda’s coworking space MOW Mothership of Work opened its doors on Pieni Roobertinkatu in February
  • Sponda sold its last property in Turku
  • Sponda sold a logistics centre in St. Petersburg, a property in Helsinki and land areas in Helsinki Metropolitan area
  • Sponda started a new property development project, office and retail complex, at the Tikkurila railway station in Vantaa
  • Sponda sold Solnechniy I shopping centre in Moscow
  • The Forum shopping centre won the Shopping Centre of the Year award

2017

  • Sponda's entire share capital was sold to Polar Bidco S.à r.l., represented by the U.S. based Blackstone Group
  • Following the completion of the sale, Sponda’s shares were delisted from the Helsinki stock exchange on 5 December 2017
  • The Nordic Council of Shopping Centers (NCSC) selected the Forum shopping centre as the Best Shopping Center 2017 in the Nordic countries, making it the first Finnish shopping centre to win the award
  • Sponda opened its second coworking hub MOW in Ruoholahti
  • Sponda celebrated the centenary of Finnish independence with the Sponda Legends walking tours at the most prestigious properties in central Helsinki
  • Sponda's micro apartment building Tikku was built into an area of a single parking space in Helsinki city centre
